Position Details

The Department of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH), University of Pittsburgh, Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Research Program is recruiting tenure faculty at the Associate or Assistant Professor levels with expertise in clinical/epidemiologic research in vaccine preventable, drug resistant, or food borne bacterial diseases, as well as tuberculosis. Opportunities are available for collaboration with the Pitt Center for Global Health and Center for Vaccine Research. GSPH is ranked third nationally in NIH funding among schools of public health. The Department of Epidemiology has a strong research portfolio, collaborating locally with other institutions across the University, nationally, and internationally. Initial salary support, start-up funds, and, laboratory space (if needed) will be provided. Candidates should have a doctoral degree (MD and/or PhD) and at least 3 years post-doctoral experience with a demonstrated record of recent research accomplishments and sufficient evidence to establish an independent, funded research program. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
