Position Description | The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of the University Counseling Center (UCC). The incumbent provides leadership and vision to the University Counseling Center, a department of the integrated Wellness Center. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Wellness Center, the UCC Director will identify strategies for strengthening the UCC services and programs to provide high quality and timely mental health services and effective outreach programming for the students at the University of Pittsburgh. He/she will direct the operations of the University Counseling Center, including the management of the administrative, operational, and the personnel and financial responsibilities of the UCC. The incumbent will develop, implement, and maintain UCC policies and procedures and ensure they are in alignment with those of the Wellness Center, IACS, the University, and all applicable state and federal regulations. He/she maintains open lines of communication by partnering with other functional areas within the Wellness Center, Student Affairs, academic units across the University, and area hospitals that provide services to students. The Director will also provide direct clinical services. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of the Wellness Center. |
