Position Description

A Research Technician position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nara Lee in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Bridgeside Point II. The Lee lab studies the role of noncoding RNAs in transcription regulation using cutting-edge technologies involving next-generation sequencing.

The incumbent is expected to have prior wet lab experience in standard molecular biological techniques (e.g. cloning, protein purification, and tissue culture work) and be a quick learner.

This position will start in the summer/fall of 2018.

Candidates with skills in computational biology will be considered first.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
