Position Description

Under the supervision of the Director, the Senior Systems Analyst provides comprehensive IT support services for the Swanson School of Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science (MEMS). The incumbent acts as the Client Services Lead and liaison for the Department on all IT matters. Support includes but is not limited to desktop computers and laptops, software and related devices, installations, diagnostic activities, and triage of related software and hardware malfunctions. The incumbent also coordinates with other SSoE IT Group staff in the delivery of IT support services to MEMS and analyzes opportunities for transforming manual workflows into automated systems integrated with enterprise systems. They may work on small projects in addition to providing support services. Strong knowledge of computer, laptop & printer function for service request resolution in classrooms, labs, offices, and other areas.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 5-6 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area or at least five years of relevant professional experience. 5+ years of experience in supporting desktops, laptops and printers. Experience in delivering IT services and advising customers of varied technology solutions or options. 2+ years experience in managing servers or high end workstations. Experience with current and 1 rev back Microsoft OS (desktop and server). Experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration at the Organizational Unit level.
