Position Description

The Ophthalmology Department in the School of Medicine is seeking a programmer.

This position consists of maintaining and testing current computer programs for data collection, computer graphics generation, and data analysis as well an analyzing and identifying faults in programs.

The incumbent should have prior knowledge and experience with the use of MATLAB programming and some use of C. Additionally, experience in the development and testing of custom-designed hardware and circuits is desirable, as well as methods for data analysis and statistics.

The job will require extensive interactions within the laboratory with different users of the software. Although no direct laboratory research is required for the job, and previous research experience is not required, comfort working in a laboratory environment is necessary.

Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
