Position Description

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the University of Pittsburgh is an integral part of a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded nationwide network whose charge is to speed new treatments to the people who need them. CTSI provides the support necessary to bridge the gap between innovative approaches to research and effective clinical and public health practice, health policy, and community engagement in research. The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for implementation and management of research projects supported through CTSI funding mechanisms, novel and traditional. They serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful and timely completion of project milestones. The Project Coordinator will work strategically with faculty and/or staff to execute their project(s), developing plans to support project objectives and ensuring administrative and regulatory requirements are accurately met, documented, and reported.

The Project Coordinator will also assist senior management in the development, coordination, and promotion of CTSI programs and funding competitions.

Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred. 2-3 years of relevant experience required. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
