Position Description

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a Research Assistant for the All of US PA program.

The Research Assistant for the All of Us Mobile Team is responsible for providing support to the Precision Medicine Initiative, an NIH-funded initiative to enroll one million study participants across the US.

The University of Pittsburgh is recruiting staff to support enrollment efforts around the greater Pittsburgh region and adjacent counties. The Research Assistant will travel to research locations primarily focused on underserved populations and perform protocol procedures including physical measures such as BP and BMI and collect specimens including blood.

Duties may also include scheduling patient appointments and support patient consent and questionnaire completion. This position will also function as the enrollment team assistant to support the Senior Research Coordinator collaborating on staff scheduling, enrollment operations and adherence to protocol.

TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance will be required as a condition of employment.

Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; exceptions to the degree requirement can be made if length and relevance of prior experience as well as established track record indicate candidate’s overall capability and specific suitability for the position.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
