Position Description

The Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition is seeking a qualified Program Manager. The Program Manager will serve as a contributing member of the multidisciplinary research team and will have the following responsibilities:

- participate in the planning and execution of the research
- independently engage in academic/intellectual endeavors aligned with the research objectives
- provide support for protocol adherence
- regulatory and administrative oversight
- may assist in obtaining funding for research projects and writing grant proposals.

This position will provide research and operational administrative support to the director, faculty, and students at the University of Pittsburgh Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (NMRL)/Warrior Human Performance Research Center (WHPRC). This position will also function to coordinate and manage research and operations activities associated with the extensive DOD funded research.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Previous experience working in a University setting with research faculty and a research laboratory preferred. Project management experience.
