Position Details

History: Assistant Professor, non-tenure stream. The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking applicants for the position of assistant professor of history (non-tenure stream) in the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences, to begin in fall 2018. Requirements: Master’s Degree in history, Ph.D. preferred, with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates. Scholarship, advising, and service activities are also required. Responsibilities: Teach courses in U.S. History; all areas of specialization will be considered. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates in the fields of African-American History; Latina/o History; Environmental History; History of Race, Ethnicity, and Immigration; Urban History; and/or Political History. The appointee will contribute core courses in U.S. History to the undergraduate majors of History/Political Science and International Affairs.
