Job Summary

This position is for an Associate Director for Research and Administration for the School of Pharmacy’s Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU) with direct report to the Director. This position requires that the incumbent to work in a highly independent manner from the Director. The incumbent will be responsible for working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to directly manage the entire research and evaluation projects at PERU.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Develop, implement and provide continual monitoring of strategic plans;
Research and determine funding opportunities for continued financial support;
Prepare grant proposals to foundation, state, and federal funding agencies by directing faculty and staff;
Facilitate contracts by evaluating vendors, identifying terms and conditions, establishing scope of services and performance metrics; and
Provide oversight and approval to faculty, staff and stakeholders on the development of study design.

Job Requirements

PhD level researcher with experience in managing multiple research grants.

-Knowledge of Grant submission requirements

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Background Check For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check.
