Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department is seeking a qualified Video Coordinator. This position will report to the Video Director.

The position’s responsibilities include assisting the Video Director with maintaining and troubleshooting all video hardware and video software systems within the department as well as, diagnosing and resolving all video related help requests in a timely manner. The employee must be highly organized, highly motivated, and possess excellent customer service skills. The position will be required to assist each sport with the acquisition and editing of scouting film, practice film, game film and recruiting film. The position must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The position will be responsible for providing support to coaches and staff regarding any video/technology needs. The position will be responsible for assisting in the training of student video managers as well as working with the coaches to ensure they are receiving the video footage they need on a daily basis. To perform these duties effectively, the employee will need to be able to communicate with coaches, staff, student-athletes and vendors in a respectful, professional manner.

Required to have a strong understanding of video editing system, policies, procedures and generally accepted principles of related video editing workflows. Must be able to resolve unique problems by collecting and interpreting information to determine correct solutions. Required to have excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Required to have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting. Required to have a strong understanding of video editing system, policies, procedures and generally accepted principles of related video editing workflows.
