Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Data Manager in the Graduate School of Public Health. The incumbent will provide data management for multi-center clinical trial. Duties involve form design, data collection system maintenance; creation and maintenance of Manual of Operations; programming for data reporting and quality assurance. The incumbent will be responsible for performing periodic data freezes; create and disseminate high-level summary reports on study progress, and detail reports for clinical review. The Data Manager will work closely with clinical personnel to ensure data quality and protocol adherence; responsible for data training and data audits.

The position will work with analysts to provide summary datasets and prepare de-identified datasets for permanent archival. The position requires proactive attention to detail and an ability to work independently.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 3-5 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Master’s degree in Public Health or Bachelor’s degree with 7-9 years of experience with knowledge of research, data processing, and computer programming. Must understand the importance of data processing to the study goals. Experience in clinical trials, and SAS programming skills.
