Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking a student employee to work as a Part-time Research Assistant. The person that fills the position will assist faculty with various research projects using mathematical modeling and other advanced statistical analysis programs and in developing computer programs. May need to work with medical and public health personnel, and with corporations, while supporting the primary investigator in various areas of research. The research assistant will also provide the Principal Investigator with support for all other study related functions including but not limited to coordinating and organizing the workflow of research group members, convening internal meetings, coordinating data collection and working with outside organizations such as the VA, UPMC, etc..

Job Requirements

This position requires an advanced Industrial Engineering background, strong verbal and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with computer modeling software.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
