Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Post-Award Grants Manager. The incumbent will provide leadership and direction for grants funded by federal, state, and private funds in accordance with state and federal regulations for the entire School of Education; oversee the financial administration of funded grants and guarantee financial accountability for grants management; audit individual sponsored projects to ensure the School of Education meets compliance and reporting requirements; perform budget analysis duties for all grants; manage financial accounting systems to track expenditures for all grants; implement and monitor systems of checks and balances; and develop and prepare complex operational and statistical reports for the School and regulatory agencies. The incumbent serves as a SPAR administrator for grants and as a resource to faculty and staff in reference to issues related to grants.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Financial and Accounting experience. Competency with various software packages, mathematics aptitude and communication proficiency. This position requires a high degree of knowledge of a professional level to determine and put into place new or better ways to carry out work, and to determine whether to use existing and accepted practices or develop new ones.
