Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics Division at the School of Pharmacy is seeking a Health Services Administrator to lead the Program Evaluation and Research Unit’s (PERU) state-funded initiative assessing new approaches to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

The incumbent will be responsible for integrating novel approaches in MAT implementation within various communities involving both the general medical and specialty care systems to reduce deaths through overdose in Pennsylvania. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for demonstrating success in managing, implementing, and evaluating a large, complex, and innovative public health program.

The position requires the incumbent to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team by directing, supervising, and mentoring personnel as well as he/she to become an expert in the delivery of care and what motivates health systems in readiness to implement new innovations. Effective and articulate communication is key to the success of this position.

Doctorate degree and experience in substance use disorder research is strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
