Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Counseling Center is seeking a licensed counselor, social worker, or psychologist for a Case Manager position.

Duties will include providing assessments and referrals to outside therapists and agencies; serving on the "Care and Resources Support (CARS)Team; monitoring and tracking students post-hospitalization; individual and group counseling of students with interpersonal/mental health concerns; consultation with faculty, staff, and parents; being on emergency on-call, as needed; and some services occasionally on weekends and evenings, as needed.

A minimum of a Master’s degree in social work or counseling psychology is required, along with 1-2 years’ experience providing counseling and/or case management with both adolescent and adult populations. Preference will be given to those with previous experience working in a university setting.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Minimum of Master’s degree in social work, counseling psychology.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Background Check For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check.
