Position Description

This is an advanced level administrative position providing total administrative support to the Industrial Engineering Graduate Program in the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Incumbent serves as first point of contact for graduate students, providing academic guidance to all students in the program; incumbent also serves as administrative support to the Program Director and is responsible for the administrative coordination of the Program. The incumbent is responsible for tracking applications through system to ensure timely processing; monitoring student progress; disseminate recruiting materials and website updates; assist students in matters relating to financial aid; coordinate and plan Graduate Seminar Series and speakers; arrange logistics for Department visitors including seminars speakers, faculty candidates and visiting students. Included in this position are additional responsibilities related to the overall operation of the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 2-3 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

University experience highly preferred. A minimum of two years business school or equivalent work experience in a professional setting. Must have excellent computer skills including word processing, e-mail management, spreadsheets, database management ability helpful.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
