Position Description

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of HEM/ONC is currently recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to this nationally-recognized research institution participating in many federally funded and industry sponsored clinical trials.

The CRC will screen and enroll subjects for protocols in the clinical settings of the division of Hematology/Oncology. The individual will assist the investigating physician(s)/Principal Investigator(s) (PI) with the preparation of regulatory documents, planning, subject recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and study conduct. The CRC will train and mentor health care personnel on protocols and ensure correct protocol adherence under the direction of the PI.

Strong communication skills are necessary. Travel to satellites facilities may be necessary. BS or BA is required. Two years of experience in coordinating clinical trials is necessary. Flexible daylight hours may be necessary.

This position is located at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in Lawrenceville.

TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.

Two years of experience in clinical research necessary.
Regulatory experience within the University of Pittsburgh and OSPARs a plus.

Required Licenses/Certifications

BS or BA is required. Two years of experience in clinical research. CCRC certification preferred.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
