Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Creativity is seeking Student Ambassadors. We are looking for graduate or undergraduate students who are outgoing, detail-oriented, creative, collaborative self-starters.

Ambassadors will participate in creating, delivering, and evaluating unique workshops for the Pitt community; engage the community to forge relationships and develop outreach opportunities; and foster a feeling of community in the C4C’s primary hands-on creative space, The Workshop.

Job Requirements

Some interest in and experience with some kind of creative area – digital media, Arduino, visual art, music, etc. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable speaking to and interacting with both small and large groups of students, faculty, and staff. Willingness to take an experimental approach to creative media and define success by process, not product.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Students must be able to work business hours with occasional weekend and evening hours for workshops and events. Students must be able to work approximately 5 hours per week, or 80 hours per semester, for two consecutive semesters.
