The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker. The Jumpstart Administrative Program Assistant role supports the Jumpstart Pittsburgh program, an affiliate site of the national organization, Jumpstart for Young Children.

The Administrative Program Assistant role supports the needs of maintaining a compliant Jumpstart program to Jumpstart and AmeriCorps hours and time keeping regulations. Roles include:
-Organization and maintenance of hours served records, paper and electronic
-Data Entry into electronic systems
-Bi-weekly review of time records of 125 Jumpstart students
-Collection of time sheets from eighteen (18) Jumpstart teams
-Communication with Program Assistants and Site Managers

Additional supportive tasks include:
-Attending mandatory Jumpstart service events alongside Jumpstart Corps
-Assisting with general office needs (copying, inventorying)

Job Requirements

In order to succeed in this role, the Program Assistant must be willing & able to manage on-going tasks independently, have organizational skills for physical tidiness of files, as well as organizational skills to schedule out tasks to meet deadlines, be willing & able to act as a role model to fellow peers be willing & able to collaborate on a team, be detail-oriented, and able to spot the “2015” mistake in a pile of 2017 data!

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
