Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Auxiliary Services is seeking a qualified Department Greeter who will provide direct customer service and support to Panther Central. Duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to: serving as the first point of contact to customers entering Panther Central; aiding with line control, triaging customer requests and directing them to the appropriate Customer Service Representative; answering basic form completion questions; reporting issues in the lobby area as needed; assisting with clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and mass mailings. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Please note, the Department Greeter is required to stand/move around Panther Central for the entirety of their shift.

Job Requirements

1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is required for this position. Incumbent must have high energy and love interacting with customers. Ability to problem solve and multi-task is crucial to succeeding in this role. Experience with technology preferred.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Background Check For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check.
