The School of Computing and Information is looking to hire a student employee as a Recruitment and Admissions Specialist for 5-10 hours per week at $10 per hour. Training would begin late this term with the bulk of the work taking place in the Spring 2018 term . While we will work around your class schedule, you would typically be scheduled to work Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Responsibilities would include:
• Email and phone correspondence with prospective and current students
• Processing of admissions documents
• Assistance in the processing of special registration requests
• Assistance in the maintenance of office files
• Participation in some recruitment events (which may include some Saturday afternoons and Monday evening hours)
• Student event planning and coordination

Job Requirements

Knowledge of MS Suite products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. English Language proficiency is required.

No prior experience is necessary; however we seek an independent worker who is friendly, outgoing, well-spoken and patient. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable with multitasking, and must be detail-oriented.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
