Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Liaison. The liaison will provide consultation services to student assistance teams in assigned buildings. Services also include student screenings, referral and case management to community resources for school population. Work involves direct services to school-based population and staff, parents, in addition to being a liaison to community organizations. Responsibilities include direct service with K-12 population, consultation and technical assistance, program development, and proper documentation.

This is a part-time position and the salary will be prorated based on 50% effort.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 3-5 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelors degree is required, Masters preferred in counseling, psychology, education or related field. Mental health and drug and alcohol programming experience strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required to work with youth, school, staff, families, and the community.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
