Position Description

The Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Senior Research Coordinator. This position will be responsible for coordinating the complex research efforts for the Minimally Invasive Surgery Division that is actively engaged in numerous, diverse research projects. In addition, the incumbent will direct, participate, and oversee a research study with the help of other team members. He/she will also oversee all aspects of training and compliance for the entire research team. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all research activities across the division including weekly meetings, IRB submissions and maintenance, protocol development, recruitment, data collection, quality control, budget development, and reconciliation. He/she will work with the PI to write grants and for the designing and planning of presentations, manuscripts, and research project presentations.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 5-6 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

PhD preferred. Minimum of five years of experience should be with clinical trials, IRB submissions, FDA regulations, grant writing, designing and planning of presentations, and manuscript preparation.
