Position Details

The Infrastructure Sensing and Data Science Lab (http://web.mit.edu/haosun/www/) at the University of Pittsburgh directed by Prof. Hao Sun have openings for Postdoc Associate to work on machine learning and big data analytics with applications to infrastructure safety and resilience assessment. The successful candidate will be key of an interdisciplinary team working on cutting edge research using world-class research facilities and resources. An immediate start is desired (or no later than January 2018).

The job responsibilities include: (1) supervise Ph.D. students and other junior team members, (2) monitor the progress of the project, work on new project proposals, regularly meet with Pl, and
(3) scientific dissemination of new findings in journals and conferences.

The successful Postdoc candidate should have (1) a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering and engineering mechanics related disciplines, (2) solid background in sensing, machine learning, data analytics, signal processing, system identification, reliability analysis, and computational modeling, (3) a strong publication record on international journals, (4) proficient skills in MATLAB and/or Python code developments, and (4) excellent communication skills.
