Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) Department is seeking a senior-level Administrator Coordinator who will coordinate the administration of the University’s Network Operations Center (NOC) located in RIDC Park. Responsibilities include delegated purchasing of enterprise equipment and software licenses; management of hardware and software maintenance contracts; tracking of data center assets; maintaining databases and financial records; Server Hosting cost recovery chargebacks; working with the Director of Infrastructure and NOC personnel to produce management reports. The incumbent must have excellent organizational skills, an information technology background, strong accounting, finance, budgeting, analysis and writing skills. He/she must have 5-7 years’ experience, preferably in higher education and must be able to work independently and manage tasks to assigned deadlines.

Must have experience in an Information Technology environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Prior purchasing and administrative office experience is required. In addition, financial background with accounting is also preferred (bookkeeping experience is helpful). Familiarity with university purchasing practices and proper subcode usage is a plus.
