Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Graduate Administrator. This position is an advanced-level administrative support position which provides administrative and student services support for the graduate programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering. The incumbent will be responsible for Department purchasing and for verifying financial data from monthly level reports. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of the Department’s website and social media and for drafting formal correspondence, memorandums, and other confidential documents, as directed.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, communications, education, or related field, preferred. At least two years of professional experience; University experience highly preferred. Strong administrative skills.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
