Position Description

The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Administrative Manager to provide management and administrative support for the faculty within the Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of all staff Human Resource processes including (but not limited to) writing new job descriptions and faculty and staff recruitment.

This position will manage and train faculty on the CME expense process. In addition, this position will manage the content and marketing materials on the Section websites for the University. This position will also act as the Manager for the faculty and staff (30 members total).

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor’s degree and experience working in an academic medical health system preferred. Associate’s degree with additional experience beyond 5 years may be considered.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
