Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine is seeking a Senior Research Specialist who will be responsible for the execution of all day to day aspects of projects on projects that study the use of antigen-specific T-cells to enhance the safety and efficacy of allogeneic blood and marrow transplant. The incumbent is responsible for research on diverse aspects of T-cell immunology, including antigen presentations to T-cells, T-cell exhaustion, and T-cell function in tissues other than lymph node and spleen.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Immunology with at least 5 years laboratory experience in microbiology, immunology, or other relate fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in animal handling, PCR cell culture, flow cytometry, typical molecular biology techniques desired. Computer literacy is essential.
