Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an EH&S Regional Coordinator. The incumbent is a member of the Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and reports to the Fire Safety Specialist. The EH&S Regional Coordinator supports the Department of Environmental Health and Safety and its various programs including life safety, occupational safety, chemical hygiene, and laboratory safety. The position is also responsible for coordinating and delivering EH&S programs to the regional sites of the University.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor of Science degree in a natural science, engineering or safety science is required. Knowledge and experience in federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and fire codes preferred.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
