Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Student Assistant. The student worker will assist research staff with babies undergoing MRI exams for the Childhood Trauma study and assisting with transporting research participants and their baby to and from the MRI department at Presby. We are looking for a college student who is reliable, caring, and compassionate to help research participants and the research staff to keep the infants calm during a MRI exam. This person must be comfortable with newborns.

Job Requirements

Experience with young children is preferred. Able to work Sundays between the hours of 9a-3p. The hours will remain in this time frame but will not necessary always be every Sunday for the full 6 hours. Strong interpersonal skills and interest in research.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
