Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Medical and Health Science Foundation is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Corporate Relations Associate. The incumbent works closely with the Corporate Relations Officer and other members of the Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) team to secure corporate gifts for the University’s six health science schools and UPMC.

Key responsibilities include the following:

1) writing, reviewing, and/or editing proposals for corporate support; 2) researching potential corporate prospects and maintaining information on current corporate opportunities; 3) coordinating documentation for corporate gifts, including drafting corporate gift agreements; and 4) assisting with stewardship activities and reporting.

Education Required Baccalaureate
Minimum Related Experience Level Required 2-3 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Minimum of two years professional level experience in higher education, health care, development or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree required. Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of effective corporate fundraising techniques and/or development experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in a health care or higher education environment is preferred.
