Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s department of Social Work-Academic Programs is seeking a qualified candidate for the role as a Research & Evaluation Coordinator. The qualified candidate required to have a Master’s degree in a Social Science field (education, social work, sociology, psychology, etc.) or Analytic field (statistics, economics, etc.); Doctorate preferred. Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Research experience in academic settings.

3 years work experience in schools or youth programming.

Knowledge of statistical software packages for analyzing data sets.

Basic knowledge of program evaluation methods.

Experience with report writing and presentation of findings.

Federal and State Child Protection Clearances (prior to starting the position).

A strong sense of purpose for promoting opportunity and educational equity for low-income students of color.

Excellent writing, organization and technology skills.
