Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s Med-Plastic Surgery is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, the role of the Clinical Researcher will include the coordination of multiple research studies to include all aspects of trial conduct ie., the recruitment, screening and enrollment of subjects, research procedure scheduling and execution, management of one or more research databases, completion of Source and CRF forms.

Position may include interaction with the IRB and regulatory agencies. He/she will be responsible to ensure that all appropriate study paperwork is completed and up to date on proposed and on-going research projects.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 1-2 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Registered nurse licensure (diploma, AS, BS), or college degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a biological or physical science or related field. 1-2 years experience with clinical trials preferred. Phlebotomy and specimen processing experience preferred. Extensive experience may be substituted for advanced degree.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
