Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Engineering Technician who will design, construct, diagnose, repair, and do performance verification of electronic equipment in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for the Neuroscience and Biological Sciences departments. The incumbent will perform high-quality, detailed work utilizing minimal cost and time. The incumbent will also properly document the design, construction, repair, and performance verification of electronic equipment.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

5 to 10 years’ experience repairing to component level. Excellent hand tool skills are required. Working knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout software. The ability to read and understand complex schematics and manuals.
