Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Pediatrics, division of General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) is currently recruiting a biostatistician to provide statistical support to investigators conducting clinical trials and research studies. Candidate should be knowledgeable and independent. Familiarity with complex statistical methods that apply to all phases of clinical studies, including data analysis methodology and study design; read, analyze and interpret complex technical documents; present complex issues; adapt to changing analytic methods and learn new analysis techniques. Ability to successfully complete multiple simultaneous projects under deadlines.

A Master’s degree in Statistics or Biostatistics is required. A background in statistical computing, a strong working knowledge of the statistical package SAS, and familiarity with sample size software and other statistical packages are essential. A minimum of four years of related experience is required. Previous work in the field of clinical trials is desirable.

TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
