Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s department of Engr-Information Technology is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Technical Support Specialist. The qualified candidate will serve as the SSOE Technology Group’s Senior Technical Support Specialist. As the Senior Technical Support Specialist, the incumbent will guide designs and solutions related to the operation and management of various centralized computing environments and classroom resources. Oversee technical operations related to technology integration, management, and maintenance of computing classrooms and serve as SSOE Technology Group’s primary resource to varying centralized users and groups. Candidate will be crucial in the annual hardware/software refresh cycle of SSOE computing classrooms. Will have dramatic impact on technology resources, environments, and customers – leadership and communication qualities are critical. Candidate will serve as a primary backup to online learning lead, ensuring continuity of operations.

Master’s Degree in relevant field or combination of Baccalaureate and 5-7 years professional experience or 7+ years professional experience specific to primary duties of this position.
