Position Description

The CRP Coordinator will provide direct support for the development and growth of the Collegiate Recovery Program. The candidate will create, coordinate and promote appropriate prevention, educational and social programs and activities for students. Incumbent will maintain a current referral system, develop student contracts, organize seminar series, coordinate referrals to SHS and UCC, recruit and oversee volunteers and provide support for those seeking or maintaining sobriety from alcohol, drugs or other addictions. The candidate will also assist the SHS Health Educators coordinate a Substance-Abuse (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs) Prevention Program for University students which includes prevention and education, early intervention, brief assessment and referral services as well as providing PEAR I and MJ 101 educational classes.

Will assist in other departmental activities including but not limited to research, data collection, promoting health programs, program expansion and grant writing.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 1-2 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Masters Degree in health education, public health, social work, or related field. CHES preferred; candidate must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of addiction recovery and recovery support services.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
