Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Systems Analyst who will serve as a mid-level technical position in Student Financial Services. The position will have primary responsibility for maintaining the content of the website and managing communication processes.

This position is part of a technology team and will be expected to work as a group and collaborate with other staff. The incumbent must be able to work independently, take initiative, and be proactive in problem-solving. New skills will need to be acquired, as needed, to adapt to the changing demands of the technology team.

The incumbent should possess at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience and demonstrate excellent technical skills. The incumbent should possess a bachelor’s degree in a technology related field. Experience with Content Management Systems, specifically Wordpress, is required. Sharepoint and experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions are also desirable.

Experience in Higher Education and with the Student Life Cycle preferred.

Experience with web CMS (Wordpress, Drupal) and HTML. Ability to write queries/reports, which require knowledge of SQL. Experience with reporting tools such as Toad, Cognos, Tableau, or related.
