Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Data Manager. This technical position provides data management support and oversight while being oriented towards developing new tools for data management in medical research. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing creative solutions for data management systems and quality control procedures, generating reports, and monitoring site performance. An advanced degree along with programming and relational database experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior data management experience or familiarity with statistical software.

Requires an advanced degree in statistics, information science, computer science, or equivalent in order to have the technical background to perform job duties. Master’s degree will be considered with relevant experience. Knowledge of computer data management systems and methods of analysis is needed. Medical background or familiarity epidemiological research is helpful.
