Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of Planned Giving whose responsibilities will include the implementation and enhancement of a comprehensive program to generate support from donors through testamentary bequests, charitable trusts, life income, and other gifts of a complex nature, such as gifts of real estate or closely-held securities. The incumbent will provide supervision to the planned giving staff and offer leadership and/or consultation to all development colleagues in the Medical & Health Sciences Foundation on potential planned gifts.

Master’s degree in a related field and/or law degree preferred. B.A. is required.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
