Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Research Coordinator who will handle several human studies and imaging studies for Drs. Hetherington and Pan at the MRRC. The duties include working with volunteers (patients and controls), handling IRB affairs, occasionally assisting MRRC staff for screening, and performing several data analysis steps.
This position works with volunteers, including recruitment, scheduling, greeting, and reimbursement. The person in this position will manage updating databases as well as work with the IRB. The position serves as a contact point with IRB to handle renewals/mods and any new protocols and requested reviews. The position assists the MRRC technologists to screen and interface with patients and volunteers.
Additional responsibilities include making sure data is backed up to the MRRC servers and performing basic image analysis steps using Mac environment and basic MATLAB scripts.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with image analysis software including Freesurfer, SPM is desirable.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
