Position Details

Professor or Associate Professor (Tenured/Tenure Stream) – The Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences (BCHS) in the Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh (http://www.bchs.pitt.edu) invites applications for a Professor or Associate Professor (T/TS) with a research focus on HIV-related biobehavioral research among men who have sex with men. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree or equivalent and strong evidence of success in competing for NIH grants in HIV prevention research. The successful candidate will join a highly multidisciplinary team studying a variety of HIV prevention approaches designed to reduce HIV transmission in MSM communities. Successful candidates will be expected to lead the design, implementation, evaluation, analysis, and diffusion of original approaches to HIV prevention science. Candidates should have an active program of peer-reviewed research and extramural funding at the midcareer or more senior level and extensive experience working with sexual and racial minority populations.

The position will be based in the Center for LGBT Health at BCHS. The Center has an active T32 trainee program, offers an MPH certificate in LGBT Health, and houses a number of faculty and staff conducting R0l-funded studies.
