Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker. The position is for an Editor with direct report to the Associate Director of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Pharmacy Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU). The position requires the incumbent to work in a highly independent manner, alongside a multidisciplinary team for approximately 20 hours/week. Strong analytic, writing and editing skills are required. The incumbent must work in a meticulous manner, being able to meet timelines with quick turnaround. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

Collecting and synthesizing information for manuscripts;
Compiling revisions and ensuring that each revision is corrected;
Providing extensive review and editing of manuscripts so that all final works are accurate and error-free 100% of the time.

Job Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must possess strong writing and editing skills.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
