Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker to provide Tier 1 computer support for Pitt Business (Katz and CBA) faculty, staff and students. Responsibilities: walk-up and telephone technical support; shop hardware and software support; printer and consumable maintenance. Additional tasks may include inventory, campus errands, documentation, general office work, et cetera (no programming).

We are specifically seeking students who are available on Monday afternoons at least, additional days of availability are helpful as well.

Job Requirements

We are unable to hire Pitt Business (Katz or CBA) students due to policy.

Good communication skills are essential. Lifting and carrying of equipment is necessary. This is a tech support position – Windows computer knowledge is required.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
