The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student employee. The assistant is responsible for the setting up and tearing down of the teaching labs each week. This includes the set up/tear down of quizzes and exams and the preparation of materials before each of the lab sections each week. During the labs, the assistant is also expected to help the Instructors with grading and entry of quiz and assignment grades for the lab sections. The assistant is also responsible for helping to answer questions and assist with lab techniques during the weekly labs. The lab assistant will also help with weekly peer tutoring sessions.

Job Requirements

The UG lab teaching assistant is for nursing students who have completed their first or second year of the BSN program.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
