Position available at University of Pittsburgh, Physical Therapy Department in Pittsburgh, PA. Teach graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory sessions for Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Physician Assistant, Rehabilitation Science and Prosthetics & Orthotics; Teach and demonstrate human gross anatomy to include anatomical structure and function to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the anatomy courses of the Doctor of Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Physician Assistant, Prosthetics and Orthotics and Rehabilitation Science programs, to supplement what students are learning in the lecture portions of the courses; Work as an anatomy team member together with the coordinators of the lecture portions of all anatomy courses to provide a coherent, synchronized, and comprehensive learning experience as appropriate for the specific course’s level and area of study; For courses involving study of prosected cadavers: dissect and/or improve the quality of prosected human cadaveric specimens to maximize the student’s learning experience of anatomical structure, function as well as relationships that exist between structure and function; For courses involving dissection of human cadavers: instruct students on proper dissection techniques and supervise them through their dissections to facilitate their learning of anatomical structure, function and relationships that exist between structure and function; Develop innovative and integrated, gross anatomy laboratory teaching and learning experiences for the anatomy courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum, Athletic Training curriculum, Physician Assistant curriculum, Prosthetics and Orthotics curriculum and Rehabilitation Science curriculum; Plan and coordinate gross human anatomy dissection and/or prosection laboratory experiences for the anatomy courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum, Athletic Training curriculum, Physician Assistant curriculum, Prosthetics and Orthotics curriculum and Rehabilitation Science curriculum; Instruct students in proper safety techniques when handling human cadaveric specimens, how to best preserve cadaveric specimens for future study, and maintaining cleanliness of the laboratory environment; Prepare and administer tests to ascertain the students’ knowledge and application of information provided in the laboratory sessions; Perform other academic duties as required..

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Physical Therapy or related field; Knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurovascular and internal organ anatomy; Demonstrated ability in human dissection and teaching.
