Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker. The VanDemark lab is seeking to hire one undergraduate to perform structure/function studies in GST-like and allorecognition proteins. The student will be required to purify and biochemically assay the GST-like protein and assess it biophysical stability in the presence of various ligands. The student will be responsible for optimizing the large scale purification of allorecognition proteins and their deglycosylation. The student will also be required to maintain excellent bookkeeping and data acquisition standards and to present the findings to both the lab and the department.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have experience performing large scale protein purification.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
