Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker.
Job Duties will include:
• General upkeep of the website content
• Proofreading written and digital media communication
• Writing and editing articles for the HPM newsletter, website and social media platforms, while creatively keeping in mind the academic culture. This includes: copyediting, fact checking and conducting interviews and research
• Working closely with supervisor to assist in HPM’s media strategy with a focus on marketing public health stories and activities via LinkedIn, Facebook, Blogger, Web, Instagram
• Tagging stories and interviews published in the mainstream about HPM’s faculty, alums, students and stakeholders
• Researching, brainstorming and developing pitches for public health geared content ideas and programs
• Collaborating with the school’s marketing team to ensure writing follows the University of Pittsburgh’s Writing Style Manual http://www.umc.pitt.edu/styleguide/contents.html
• Develop interactive infographics and other visual displays of information
• Writing clever and compelling headlines, decks, tweets, Facebook posts and other types of display copy
• Conducting activities designed to maximize digital outreach
