Job Summary

This Clinical Research Coordinator position will participate in all aspects of the planning and implementation clinical trials. This includes: management of study participants, collection of clinical data, review of medical records and identification and reporting of adverse events. The coordinator must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication with the investigators, members of the study team and study sponsors.
This posting is for an individual with advanced training and previous experience in an area related to interventional trials and changes in disease risk and quality of life. Studies may entail but are not limited to the use of technology, such as smartphones for self-monitoring, accelerometers for assessment of physical activity and medication intervention and impact. Applicants should have a strong interest in human subject research and a good knowledge of cognitive-behavioral interventions.

Job Requirements

Computer experience is required. In addition to the above, as the Coordinator, the individual needs to be familiar with development and revision of Human Subjects protocol, supervision of intervention and coordinating staff as well as students working on the projects. Incumbent will assist with the development of manuscripts, abstracts and presentations, as well as grant development. Incumbent will also provide additional training for the other interventionist.
Professional Development:
Obtain and maintain required University, regulatory, and protocol training. Maintain certifications/professional licensure
A Master’s degree and 4-6 years of clinical research experience is preferred or Registered Nursing degree is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with additional experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Background Check For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check.
